Our Nikon AF-S 55-200mm Lens

We bought the AF-S 55-200mm lens just this month to be used for long distance objects.

This lens is slow, so you really need a tripod specially on low light conditions. This is not VR (Vibration Reduction). I dont use VR that much, but if your hands are as shaky as an addict's, you need the AF-S 55-200mm VR.

I'd still go for the AF-S 18-55mm when it comes to portraits, though. I just use this lens in cases where objects are way far from the working area.

We bought this lens from Digital Walker Greenbelt 5 for P13,500. For a zoom lens, this is already a bargain... especially because Digital Walker offered 0% interest on SIP purchase for the lens.

55-200 is a pretty good lens... better than decent actually. Sweet spot niya is somewhere between f/5.6 and f/8. I used to pick this for portraits to get that blurred background effect (though for that you need to widen the aperture). Dapat nga lang you're outside or you have a big studio. Comes with a hood too. =)
